Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Vendor Manager role is specific to TZV’s high profile Next Generation CAD (NGC) project, and is a key and active participant of the team.

The goal of the function is to provide robust and effective management of the professional services, IT and other contracts of vendors to the NGC project, ensuring governance and quality management processes are implemented within tight timeframes. The main purpose of the role is to manage contracts and related stakeholder relationships to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and maximise value for money.

 

Whilst managing strong and productive relationships with vendors, including large international vendors, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a master register of all NGC project-related contracts.
  • For each key contract, maintain detailed knowledge of all contractual terms, including (with assistance from Legal as required) compiling and maintaining contract FAQs and acting as a first point of contact for contract interpretation issues.
  • For each key contract, maintain a detailed contract register (including milestones, due dates, services levels, and key contractual obligations) and actively monitor compliance with the contract, both on the TZV and vendor sides.
  • Manage contract changes, including negotiating with vendors, tracking agreed changes, preparing Change Requests, obtaining drafting services from Legal as required, preparing associated Briefings, and obtaining approvals and signatures of relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively administer performance management frameworks, including review of compliance with service levels and application of contractual consequences for breaches, and conduct vendor management sessions or reviews.
  • Monitor and administer formal delay management frameworks.
     

 

 

 

About You

 

You will have substantial experience in vendor and contract management role(s) as well as substantial experience in IT projects.

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Proven ability to manage contracts and related stakeholder relationships to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and maximise value for money.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, to ensure quality outputs for the work area are met
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, work positively and productively as part of a team, influence decision-making, and build and maintain productive relationships 
  • Extensive demonstratable experience in vendor and contract management role and understanding of the vendor and contract lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and running vendor management principles.
  • Experience in resolving complex vendor issues in an efficient method to ensure optimum outcomes are achieved
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
