Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Test Analyst, Integration is responsible for planning, executing, and automating integration tests across complex system landscapes, ensuring that interfaces, APIs, message queues, and event-driven publish–subscribe integrations and data flows operate seamlessly.
This role combines technical integration testing expertise with strong data analysis capabilities to validate the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of information exchanged between systems. The analyst will collaborate with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to ensure test coverage meets both technical requirements and business needs while upholding quality standards.
This role reports to the Test Lead to strengthen test governance, uplift automation capability, and ensure delivery confidence across the program.

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Development and maintenance of comprehensive integration test plans, ensuring coverage for APIs, interfaces, workflows, and end-to-end system interactions
  • Designing and executing integration test cases and scenarios that validate system interoperability, data flows and end to end process integrity across platforms
  • Performing functional, negative and boundary testing on APIs and interfaces
  • Validation of event contracts, schema evolution, consumer group behaviour and message replay to ensure reliable processing and idempotency 
  • Logging, triaging and tracking integration defects in collaboration with developers and vendors, providing root cause analysis insights for faster resolution
  • Ensure test activities are completed in line with expectations, delivering test tasks within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Review requirements for TZV, working closely with Vendor teams, Business Analysts and NGC Test Lead. 

 

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • A Tertiary qualification in IT related studies, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to design, execute and maintain integration test plans, test cases and test scenarios
  • Proven hands-on experience testing REST and SOAP APIs, using tools such as Postman, SoapUI or ReadyAPI
  • Experience implementing automated integration test suites within CI/CD pipelines using modern frameworks
  •  Experience engaging with developers, solution architects, data engineers, and business analysts to align testing activities with technical designs and business requirements.
  •  Ability to manage multiple integration testing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex integration and testing concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
