Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Test Analyst, Data Migration is responsible for validating the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data migrated from legacy CAD systems into the new OnCall CAD environment. This role ensures that bulk data loads, incremental migrations, data synchronisation and validating integrity between two CADs, and cutover rehearsals are executed with high quality, giving stakeholders confidence in “Day-0 correctness” before parallel run and go-live.
The analyst will work closely with solution architects, data engineers, developers, business analysts, and operational SMEs to design and execute test cases that verify data mapping rules, transformation logic, and reconciliation results. The role also supports cutover rehearsals, rollback validation, and operational readiness reporting.
This role reports to the Test Lead and contributes to uplift of test governance, data assurance capability, and migration quality across the program
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Development and maintenance of data migration test plan aligned with overall test strategy, project release schedules and delivery methodology
- Design and execution of detailed test cases and scenarios that validate the completeness, accuracy and consistency of migrated data across systems
- Validation of data mapping specifications, transformation rules, and default values are correctly applied during migration and transition from legacy CAD to OnCall
- Participation in mock migrations and cutover rehearsals, validating end-to-end processes, rollback procedures, and incremental/delta migrations.
- Logging, triaging, and tracking migration-related defects, providing data-driven analysis to assist developers, DBAs, and vendors in resolving issues.
- Ensure test activities are completed in line with expectations, delivering test tasks within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Review requirements for TZV, working closely with Vendor teams, Business Analysts and NGC Test Lead.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A Tertiary qualification in IT related studies or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years hands on experience analysing and testing data quality
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios for bulk, incremental, and cutover migrations
- Proven experience in profiling source data, identifying quality issues, and validating migration outcomes against mapping specifications
- Ability to prepare representative test data sets for migration validation, ensuring compliance with data security and privacy standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex integration and testing concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
