Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The role will help build, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding infrastructure platforms supporting mission critical emergency services. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Monitor and maintain all physical and virtual server, storage and backup infrastructure across multiple Data Centre locations to ensure high availability and peak performance.
  • Proactively identify, register, and remediate security risks while implementing robust security systems and redundant backup solutions for data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks, increasing system efficiency and reducing the need for manual intervention.
  • Install, configure, and rigorously test operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Oversee and streamline system updates and patching through automated workflows and predefined policy rules.
  • Support ICT infrastructure incident response and resolution, including problem and change management processes.

 

About You

 

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • Experience in an ITIL environment. Working knowledge of ITIL Incident management, Request fulfilment, Change and Asset Management.
  • Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience in a large organisation (500 or more employees) supporting a 24x7 mission critical environments.
  • Demonstrated ability and understanding in continuous improvement and delivery implementation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with capacity to assess and resolve technical issues and initiate improvements.

 

Qualifications (Essential):

  • Microsoft Certificated Solutions Associate (MCSA) (or equivalent experience).
  • VMware Certification (VCP) (or equivalent experience).
