About the Role

The Strategic Intelligence Lead is a key and active participant of the Governance, Planning and Intelligence (GP&I) Department, providing advanced intelligence analysis and high-quality assessment products that inform executive and organisational decision-making. The role strengthens TZV’s intelligence function by shaping analytical approaches, enhancing assessment practices, and delivering forward-looking assessments that support strategic planning, operational preparedness and organisational performance.

The main purpose of the role is to advance the operationalisation of the Intelligence Strategy by improving the consistency and quality of intelligence products, strengthening the organisation’s analytical capability, and building a more mature, efficient and future-focused intelligence environment—one that delivers timely, accurate and insightful intelligence to the Executive Leadership Team and supports TZV long term strategic priorities

  • Establish, maintain and apply structured analytical techniques, analytical standards and quality assurance processes across GP&I’s intelligence products, ensuring methodological rigour, defensibility and fitness for purpose
  • Coordinate the intake, reconciliation and all-source fusion of information from Data Science, TZV operational systems, sector partners and open sources to support Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and executive reporting, maintaining confidence levels, caveats and source provenance

  • Lead purposeful engagement with internal business areas, ESOs, sector partners and government agencies to shape intelligence requirements, close knowledge gaps and strengthen collaborative intelligence sharing
  • Maintain awareness of strategic and operational threats, risks and issues through systematic monitoring and open-source intelligence practices, escalating material findings through appropriate channels and contributing to organisational risk and resilience frameworks
