Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Senior Manager, Workforce Capability is responsible for supporting TZV to deliver its strategy and vision through the capability of its workforce by managing the design and delivery of induction and onboarding processes, building capability, talent development, workforce engagement and training across the organisation.

 

Reporting to the Director, Workforce Capability, this role will develop effective and integrated training solutions and development initiatives, and will ensure that all solutions are fit-for-purpose in a highly critical and complex work environment. With a focus on best practice and continuous improvement, the Senior Manager, Workforce Capability will manage a high-performing and dynamic team to support TZV in its mission and to provide a positive workforce experience.  

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver outstanding workforce-centric capability and development services, including learning and development, talent development, and culture and engagement, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Establish, design and deliver organisation-wide learning programs, leadership development, and management pathways to support professional development and capability growth across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Workforce Capability leadership team to drive ethical leadership and culture reform, and to provide a valued workforce experience for all employees. 
  • Maintain responsibility for the enterprise learning framework, including learning technology and governance, and grow the leadership development strategy, talent development framework, succession planning program, and embedding of the integrated leadership capability framework.
  • Manage the Workforce Capability budget and resources, and analyse, monitor and track efficacy of workforce capability programs.

 

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a people-focused HR professional with experience leading high-performing teams to deliver organisation-wide outcomes.

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business, Adult Learning, Psychology or related discipline and 5 years’ experience in a learning or HR role.
  • Demonstrated ability in end-to-end workforce capability activities and program design/delivery/facilitation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Previous experience in leadership development and manager training.
  • A flexible, innovative and solutions-focused approach with the ability to multitask and deliver to tight deadlines.
