Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The role of Senior Manager, Commercial supports and contributes to strategic decision making and risk management in TZV’s Next Gen CAD project. 
 

In this role, you will work with internal stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and provide strategic advice on contractual and commercial issues arising in the project, this includes procurement strategies to deliver the Next Gen CAD. You will contribute to complex contractual and related negotiations with external suppliers to achieve the best outcomes for TZV and provide practical, comprehensive and commercially focused support and solutions to TZV. Your role will be focused on applying strategic and tactical advice in relation to contract management, contract variations, risk mitigation, governance posture and identifying and managing emerging risks.
 

This role operates within a complex stakeholder environment both internally and within the emergency management sector. The Senior Manager, Commercial will identify innovative solutions to balance all stakeholder requirements.
 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:
 

  • Supporting the commercial and strategic management of NGC project related contracts from initial release to mark, through negotiation, and into the tracking of project vendor and partner performance

  • Liaising with key financial, procurement and legal partners across the enterprise to ensure policies, regulations and legislation is followed. 

  • Oversight and lead the effective management, governance and reporting of the commercial work streams, including in procurement, vendor and contract management. 

  • Support and participate in active collaboration, communication and relationship management of internal and external stakeholders to ensure performance against contractual obligations and project requirements.

  • Contribute towards a positive work environment with the NGC project, to deliver sustained and well prioritised outcomes, including building and maintaining high levels of motivation, responsiveness and accountability.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or management, as well as the following attributes and experience - 

 

  • Substantial experience in complex IT project and commercial management, or related discipline

  • Demonstrated highly developed commercial and business acumen

  • Demonstrated experience providing high level and authoritative advice, with ability to influence and operate comfortably at all levels of the organisation

  • Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to formulate and implement innovative and pragmatic solutions to meet business needs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in preparing briefs on complex issues with clear and concise language 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and effectively manage multiple competing priorities
