About the Role
The Senior Automation Test Analyst is a key and active participant of the Next Generation CAD (NGC) Testing Team.
The goal of the test function is to verify software products against requirement specification and confirm that the system performs all functional and non-functional requirements.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert guidance and strategic advice on test automation for the NGC project. This includes designing and developing an automated testing framework that maximizes benefit and coverage while minimizing maintenance and support requirements.
Reporting to the Test Lead – NGC, specific accountabilities will include maintaining and developing the Test Automation framework, automation planning and assessments, delivering and reporting on automation testing activities and providing thought leadership on testing automation tooling and processes.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work reasonable overtime.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a practical approach to testing the NGC system
- Analysis of the NGC product architecture, features and functionality
- Assessing test automation requirements to define the scope of automation
- Build a robust, scalable, and reusable test automation framework, tailored to the specific needs of the NGC project.
- Hands on role, providing leadership, and sharing knowledge with the wider testing team
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement the most suitable test automation tools and technologies for the NGC product.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, vendor representatives and other IT teams to discuss test results and ensure that issues that arise during test automation are resolved efficiently
About You
The preferred candidate will have a tertiary qualification in IT, or a related discipline, as well as the following skills and experience -
- Considerable experience working in test automation
- Strong experience in Java and Python
- Experience working in complex test environments
- Knowledge on CI/CD tools integration such as Jenkins, Azure Pipelines
- Strong knowledge of behaviour driven development frameworks
- Experience in Object Orientated programming
- Knowledge of service level and UI test automation tools
