Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Project Manager is a key member of the Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS) team, responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of assigned ICT projects.

 

Key accountabilities include end-to-end project planning and delivery, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with agreed scope, budget, timeframes and quality requirements, through to successful project closure.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain all core project documentation—including Business Cases, Project Management Plans, budgets, schedules, status reports, and key controls (risk, issue, variation, and lessons learned logs)—in accordance with TZV’s framework.
  • Establish and maintain robust project governance (e.g., Project Control Boards and Working Groups) aligned with the Project Management Framework to drive oversight and decision-making.
  • Oversee Business Analysts across requirements gathering, business impact assessments, and current-state mapping activities.
  • Lead Change Management and Communication Plans to drive seamless adoption and keep internal and external stakeholders continuously informed.
  • Coordinate internal cross-functional teams (IT, Legal, Procurement) and external vendor/consultant partners to deliver all project objectives collaboratively.

 

 

About You

 

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent). 
  • Demonstrated proficient (5 years) project management experience in medium to large technology projects. 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations. 
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence outcomes and obtain support. 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement, coordinate and deliver projects with multiple users over multiple sites.
