Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The procurement specialist is responsible for leading sourcing projects and will be involved in all phases of procurement activities applying the skills necessary to identify saving opportunities to create value, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate with suppliers, and generate contracts to ensure seamless availability of products and services needed to support TZV’s objectives. This role requires commercial acumen and negotiation skills to deliver solutions, as well as the ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities that will lead to improved strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management within TZV.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Undertake preparation of sourcing requirements, preparation of RFX documentation, release to market, market briefing and clarifications, facilitating evaluation panel scoring and consensus, supporting contract negotiations and execution, preparation of status reports and briefs for senior management, developing 12-to-24-month procurement pipeline plans and analysing category spend data.
- Support the development and implementation of organisational category management strategies, policies and procedures ensuring compliance with the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines, policies, and other legislative requirements.
- Liaise between internal clients and Legal Counsel to support the drafting of contract documentation, such as Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, Variations and Extensions.
- Assist contract managers by undertaking contract monitoring, to identify contract risks and emerging issues and provide commercial advice on appropriate actions to address and resolve any issues arising from these reviews.
- Undertake contract administration activities including, updating the Contract Management System with relevant procurement activities and accurately reflect changes to contract status and updating other data repositories with relevant and accurate information on contractual or procurement changes.
About You
You will have demonstratable experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles and a strong knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends and relevant regulations
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures and financial management systems
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to lead negotiations and finalise contracts with suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market intelligence for informed decision-making.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications in the procurement of similar discipline ( Finance, law , contract of project management , supply chain)
