About Triple Zero Victoria
Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Policy and Project Officer is responsible for supporting policy development, project management and governance activities across the organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Policy and Project Officer, this role is responsible for supporting programs of work that enable the continuous improvement of our services, including lessons management, organisational performance standards, strategic outcomes and community sentiment. This role builds and maintains effective working relationships across the organisation and with external partners, facilitating information flow and influencing policy development where necessary.
A key an active member of the Governance, Planning and Intelligence department, the Policy and Project Officer contributes to strategic decision-making, provides policy and project management advice and support, including the preparation of high-quality reports, briefings and presentations, and effective engagement with our internal, emergency services and State Government stakeholders.
The role will also support the development and implementation of identified project activities and reporting.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Support delivery of programs of work including the development of policy, project management and governance materials, and prepare and present detailed reports and briefs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate positive outcomes.
- Plan and support the facilitation of engagement activities with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy and project outcomes and lessons management.
- Prepare high-quality detailed reports and briefs for the Board and other executive as required.
- Maintain an understanding of state legislative and policy reform directions to influence policy development.
- Develop and maintain core project artefacts—including management plans, controls, and status reports—to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Organise and facilitate project workshops and meetings, including the preparation of agendas, briefing materials, and formal minutes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Policy or Project Officer with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have the following attributes:
- Evaluation, policy or project management qualifications are desirable.
- Proven experience in contributing to the delivery of complex projects within tight timeframes and in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prepare high quality accurate and detailed documents, reports and correspondence for senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret information and data from various sources and provide advice to senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of monitoring and evaluation, lessons management and/or continuous improvement practices.
