Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Manager, Workplace Relations is responsible for the provision of high-quality Workplace relations advice and support to key stakeholders to positively influence people management capability and outcomes.
This role works closely with the Senior Manager, Workforce Relations to enable strategic outcomes as they relate to Workplace relations and enterprise agreement reform and implementation. You will lead enterprise bargaining negotiations, deliver agreed bargaining outcomes, and lead the negotiation process on behalf of TZV. A strong understanding of employment law is essential in this role to ensure Triple Zero Victoria navigates complex workplace relations matters with confidence, fairness, and compliance.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Drive policy development and implementation of workplace relations matters and contribute to the implementation of workforce management and change plans supporting key stakeholders and leading relevant projects and initiatives.
- Chair consultation forums with union officials and delegates.
- Monitor workplace relations trends, reporting and metrics to identify potential gaps and emerging themes with a focus on using data to drive problem solving and decision-making impacting related projects.
- Represent TZV at courts/tribunals, including the Fair Work Commission, VEOHRC and VCAT.
- Leadership of a team of Workplace Relations specialists.
About You
The preferred candidate will bring the appropriate expertise and professional attributes required for success in this role, including:
- Tertiary qualifications in workplace relations, employment law and/or law
- Extensive specialist experience in employment and workplace relations law, including the interpretation and application of complex legislative and industrial frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and leading complex workplace relations issues in an operational environment with multiple unions, including enterprise agreement negotiations.
- Demonstrated experience resolving workplace disputes with employees and unions, including advocacy experience at courts and/or tribunals.
- Extensive relevant experience in Workplace relations in a unionised environment and working knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks.
- Working knowledge of workplace law, state and federal employment legislation, workplace policies, and experience in the interpretation and application of these.
- Strong and structured approached to case management, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to perform with competing deadlines, respond quickly to urgent/important requests and achieve effective results within given and at times tight time frames.
- Well developed communication and stakeholder influencing capability, combined with strong attention to detail.
