About the Role

 

The Delivery Manager, Technical Solution (Next Gen CAD) is a key and active participant in the Next Generation CAD Project Team. This role supports the Director, Technical Delivery by providing end-to-end delivery management across the technical program workstream. Working closely with Technical Leads, the role is responsible for planning, sequencing, and executing delivery activities, while driving integrated oversight of risks, issues, and dependencies.

 

With a strong focus on best practice program delivery, the role ensures clear governance pathways and transparent reporting to support confident decision-making and predictable technical program delivery outcomes. It also supports the broader cross-functional Next Gen CAD team in driving program transformation and enabling the successful integration and deployment of the Next Gen CAD platform.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Support the Director, Technical delivery in the end-to-end management of technical program delivery, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and delivery commitments.
  • Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and dependencies to support successful program execution.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective mitigation, escalation, and clear communication to support decision-making.
  • Maintain delivery governance and performance oversight, including tracking progress, reporting on milestones, and providing insights on delivery confidence and challenges.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, fostering collaboration across teams and enhancing delivery practices, processes, and outcomes.

 

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in delivering complex technical or technology-enabled programs, with demonstrated capability in coordinating across multiple workstreams and stakeholders. You bring a structured, proactive approach to delivery, with strong capability in planning, risk and issue management, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders to drive alignment and successful outcomes.

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • A Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Business, information Systems, Project Management or related disciplines
  • Proven experience in program delivery supporting complex technical solutions in mission critical highly complex environments with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Strong planning and scheduling capability, with hands on experience using Microsoft Project in multi stream program environments.
  • Advanced risk, issue, and dependency management capability across technical and delivery teams.
  • Experience working closely with technical leaders, PMO functions, and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating within structured governance environments with disciplined reporting expectations.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and outcomes focused with strong communication skills.
  • Strong discipline in maintaining accurate and reliable delivery data to support governance and decision making.
  • Experience supporting Hardware and Software implementation initiatives across the delivery lifecycle, from discovery and design through to build, test, and release.
  • Ability to coordinate program delivery activities across multiple teams and vendors in complex implementation environments.
  • Understanding of program delivery risks, dependencies, and change impacts associated with software solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, SaFE).
  • Experience supporting collaboration between design, business, and delivery teams to translate requirements into implementable solutions.
  • Ability to support solution clarity, scope definition, and alignment between design intent and delivery outcomes.
