Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Manager, Infrastructure, Cloud and Security Operations is a key role in the Emergency Communication Information Services team (ECIS), providing ICT infrastructure, Cloud and security operations management and leading the ICT Infrastructure team that manages and supports a mission critical technology infrastructure environment.
The goal of the function is to build, operate and maintain integrated information and technology services to support operational systems and communications supporting TZV and Victoria’s emergency management sector specifically focused on the IT operations services portfolio.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Manage the IT operations environment and the teams delivering ICT infrastructure, Cloud and security operations services.
- Lead IT operations and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient, mission-critical services within a high-pressure 24/7 emergency services environment.
- Manage, operate, monitor and optimize highly available infrastructure across TZV Data Centre’s and Cloud platforms, proactively managing and remediating performance and security risks.
- Manage and continuously improve the security posture of M365 environments and core security operations platforms, including EDR/MDR, SIEM, and Mail security gateways and Vulnerability management platforms and systems.
- Lead Cloud adoption and support Infrastructure team in leveraging capabilities of Hybrid Cloud and increasing technology resilience.
- Lead maintenance, patching and asset lifecycle management activities across the key infrastructure systems and platforms on enabling key TZV applications and services.
- Support the infrastructure, cloud and security operational requirements of priority projects and initiatives as highlighted by stakeholders in the organisation.
- Provide support and work closely with ECIS service teams to ensure a proactive ITIL process including incident management, problem management, change management and knowledge management including proactively tracking and reduction in service continuity interruption.
- Develop and review comprehensive product and service roadmaps for Infrastructure and Cloud environments to align with ECIS ICT Strategy and evolving organisational needs.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A Tertiary qualification in IT related studies or related discipline.
- Extensive/Demonstrable experience managing and leading a team in IT operations and administrating infrastructure/systems in a mission critical environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in managing IT operations and Cloud environments.
Strong technical knowledge of:

- Microsoft environment – M365, Enta ID, Active Directory and server and storage platforms
- Multi-tier application and system integration
- Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and Citrix
- CISCO enterprise systems including Nexus and catalyst technologies
- Knowledge and experience in security operations platforms and technical protocols, policies and processes
- Proven experience and knowledge of Microsoft Server systems including active directory and identity management, SQL server and database platforms, Cloud technologies and the M365 environment.
- Strong understanding of incident and problem management resolution in a highly complex systems environment.
- Strong people leadership skills/demonstrable current experience in leading high performing technical SME’s and ICT engineering teams.
