Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Manager, IT Operations Coordination, is a pivotal role designed to support the Executive Director, Emergency Communications Information Services (ED, ECIS), and the ECIS workforce through strategic advice, complemented by operational subject matter expertise, on strategic and current operational matters, including information technology, emergency management related policy, issues, portfolio responses, and external sector inquiries, and reporting.
The role will play an integral part for operational engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Provide support and strategic and operational advice related to the statutory functions of the ED, ECIS including ensuring the ED, ECIS is appropriately briefed and appraised of current and emerging issues.
- Deliver advice and leadership which ensures that TZV complies with statutory obligations, and provides guidance material to ED, ECIS on how statutory obligations and Government decisions should be implemented
- Provide operational subject matter expertise to support TZV Legal Services team in the preparation of documentation relating to coronial and civil litigation matters
- Demonstrates strong initiative and problem-solving skills to navigate operational and complex service delivery situations with both internal and external stakeholders, to design and deliver effective remediations
- Brief high-level stakeholders in own area of expertise in a variety of forums including presentations, conferences and meetings Including representing the ED, ECIS at internal and external meetings and discussions to drive decision making and organisational objectives.
About You
Ideally will have a qualification in leadership or emergency management, have demonstrated knowledge of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements and extensive experience in senior operational leadership.
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Experience working within the public sector and complex emergency management is desirable
- Planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Ability to allocate and align resources to achieve core business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a complex environment
- High degree of proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, particularly in brief writing, reporting requirements and facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholder groups
