Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Manager, CAD, a key role within the Emergency Communications Information Systems team, is accountable for the reliability, operability and sustainment of the organisation’s CAD Service. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership and input into the development of strategic CAD roadmaps; monitoring, measuring and managing service performance; and working collaboratively with other teams within the organisation to ensure that the CAD Service meets business and operational requirements.

 

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Systems and Service Management, this role will proactively engage with leadership, customers and partner organisations to build confidence and trust, and will ensure that the CAD System aligns with compliance, asset lifecycle and disaster recovery requirements.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Lead the operational sustainment of the CAD Service, and ensure that technical services including servers, databases and integrations operate effectively and in line with performance and resilience requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal support teams and Emergency Service Organisations to resolve incidents and manage any changes related to the CAD Service.
  • Work closely with the Infrastructure and Network teams to ensure a holistic lifecycle program and to align support services and security with CAD Service requirements.
  • Participate in active disaster recovery planning and testing for ICT systems to ensure CAD service continuity and resilience in the event of a disruption.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster trust and to ensure that CAD Service outcomes align with organisational priorities. 

 

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of ITIL service management practices, extensive experience in an IT-based role, including IT team management, with demonstrated experience in applying service management principles across the service lifecycle

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • An ITIL v3 certification
  • Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end management of mission-critical services and application management.
  • Extensive knowledge in contract and vendor management, and experience in the successful delivery of software and solutions.
  • Experience leading a high-performing team in a complex work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
