Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

This role manages the internal audit function at TZV, driving continuous improvement and providing strategic input to assist TZV meet its strategic and corporate priorities, whilst aligning with public sector standards. 

The Internal Auditor manages the day-to-day relationship with HLB Mann Judd (TZV’s outsourced internal audit provider) and oversees both outsourced and insourced internal audit programs.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Provide assurance over governance, risk management, and internal controls
  • Conduct process and controls reviews to support operational improvement and risk reduction
  • Implement data analytics and continuous auditing techniques to monitor controls, identify exceptions and risks and provide timely assurance and insights to the TZV leadership, via the Senior Manager,
  • Enterprise Resilience and Assurance
  • Prepare reports including findings and recommendations to the ELT, Audit, Risk and Finance Committee and the TZV Board, as required

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in internal and audit and assurance with a strong understanding of public sector governance frameworks and  will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • Knowledge of IIA standards and the Three Lines Model
  • Proficiency in audit planning, execution, and reporting and experience with data-driven audit approaches
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce or related discipline and substantial experience in internal audit and assurance
  • Membership of CPA Australia or CAANZ
