Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Human Resource Advisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day Workforce Operations of the full employee life cycle, contributing to the effective service delivery of human resource services, systems and processes.  Through cross-functional collaboration, the Workforce Operations Advisor provides high quality advice and service regarding People & Culture policies, procedures and best-practice. 

 

This role has a particular focus on generalist HR matters as they relate to Triple Zero Victoria’s people programs and process at various lifecycle touch points including onboarding, induction, probation review, performance development review, secondments, promotions, internal movements, people benefits, recognition and reward and exit processes.  This role also oversees end to end recruitment processes.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage and respond to queries from employees, with accurate and sound policy and procedural advice and guidance based on interpretation of relevant People & Culture policies and procedures and Enterprise Agreements
  • Provide advice and support to People Leaders/Hiring Managers on merit-based selection principles, to ensure fair and informed selection decisions
  • Participate in job analysis processes including supporting managers to develop accurate position descriptions which define success and integrate TZV’s leadership capability framework
  • Provide advice and support to people managers on the process for people change including requests for flexible working arrangements, secondments, higher duties, salary reviews, job evaluations, reporting line changes and changes to personal details
  • Provide advice to people managers on probation review processes and follow through to ensure individual assessments are completed and goals / development plans are established
  • Exercise a high level of attention to detail when processing employee lifecycle changes

 

 

About You

 

To excel in this role, the preferred candidate will demonstrate previous experience working in a Human Resource Generalist role, being exceptionally skilled at managing employee life-cycle activities and processes with a high-level of accuracy and be comfortable at interpreting policies, procedures and EAs, to provide sound advice to employees and People Leaders. In addition, the following skills and attributes are required for the role:

 

  • Skilled and comfortable in managing high-volume and corporate recruitment activity, providing sound selection advice and guidance to hiring managers
  • Service focused and exceptionally skilled at developing and maintaining positive relationships, with a confident and discreet manner in order to appropriately manage sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented, process minded and the ability to cope well managing high volumes of work
  • A continuous improvement mindset, seeking to improve both self and work processes based on ongoing changing client needs
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline, further complimented with Mercer CED Evaluation experience and psychometric assessment accreditation
  • Working ability with HRIS and recruitment ATS systems including SuccessFactors
  • Desirable, experience working in the public sector
