Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

As the Executive Director, Governance, Planning & Intelligence, you will lead a critical business unit that supports Triple Zero Victoria’s Board, CEO and Executive Leadership Team to ensure the organisation is well-placed from both a strategic and operational perspective.

 

This role provides leadership across governance, planning and intelligence. You will drive alignment, strengthen organisational capability and provide trusted advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders across the emergency management sector. 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Lead planning and intelligence functions to support organisational performance and service delivery. 
  • Partner with the Board, CEO and Executive Leadership Team to develop, monitor and enable delivery of TZV’s strategic priorities and multi-year plans. 
  • Drive strategic investment planning, enterprise design and funding initiatives in collaboration with Emergency Services Organisations (ESOs), government departments and sector stakeholders. 
  • Provide strategic advice and insights on organisational performance, to the Board, Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee, CEO and Executive leaders.
  • Lead strategic community engagement and communications initiatives, ensuring alignment with government priorities, public sector frameworks, accessibility standards and evidence-based reporting. 

 

 

About You

 

You are an experienced and contemporary executive leader with a strong track record in strategic planning governance and organisational performance within complex environments.

 

You are recognised for your ability to build trusted relationships, influence at senior levels and lead organisation-wide initiatives that drive organisational improvement, resilience and performance outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in senior strategic leadership roles, ideally within complex, government or public sector environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic planning, compliance or organisational intelligence functions.
  • Proven capability to engage and influence Boards, Executives and senior stakeholders across complex stakeholder environments.
  • An understanding of emergency services, emergency management, telecommunications, employee relations and relevant Government policy ideal.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to connect diverse stakeholders to organisational vision and outcomes.
  • A collaborative and people-focused leadership style, with demonstrated capability leading high-performing teams and driving accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and change leadership capability, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics or a related discipline is essential, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
