About the Role

 

The Senior Compliance Specialist is a key and active participant of the Enterprise Resilience and Assurance function which sits under the Strategy and Capability department. The goal of the function is to provide the evolution of compliance and assurance activities, implementation of continuous improvement and quality management processes within TZV, to assist in the achievement of TZV’s strategic objectives

Reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise Resilience & Assurance, this position is responsible for the management, development and identification of TZV’s enterprise compliance activities through assessment, remedial support and assurance reporting on TZV’s enterprise compliance with legislation, policy, regulations and procedures.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Responsible for assessing TZV’s compliance through regular review, monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of control effectiveness, including identifying and reporting compliance risks to meet quality, attestation, and reporting obligations
  •  Design, manage, and implement TZV’s Compliance Management System, ensuring all compliance obligations are effectively addressed
  •  Keep current with compliance and quality requirements, offering expert advice to guide internal policy development in response to legislative and regulatory changes
  •  Accountable for developing and implementing continuous improvement monitoring programs for key business process controls, ensuring effective assessment and assurance of their operation
  •  Use the governance, risk and compliance system (Protecht) to manage Compliance Obligations, including recording of updates and tracking any related actions.

 

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in public policy or a related field, along with extensive experience in compliance and assuranceand the following experience, skills & attributes:

 

  • Experience in a big four audit firm and/or management system consulting company
  • Extensive and demonstrated best practice experience in developing, implementing and managing compliance and assurance management systems or internal audit plans
  • Demonstrated practical outcome focused approach to deliver quality results to tight timeframe
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality and compliance environment and ability to interpret legislation and translate into practical policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
