Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Domain Architect, Cloud and Infrastructure is a critical role within the Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS) team, providing specialist skills and technology leadership in Cloud, Infrastructure and related disciplines.
The role provides solution architecture and technical expertise to deliver an effective disaster recovery capability and ensure testing for operational and support office key assets, platforms, and systems.
It will be critical in reviewing every aspect of resilience and disaster recovery capability, including test results, and event post-mortem reports and reviews to ensure continuous improvement in TZV disaster recovery planning, technology platform resilience and high availability.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Leading the analysis of Cloud and Infrastructure solution requirements to address identified business problems or technology needs, including consideration of alternative technology solutions and infrastructure points
- Conduct meetings and workshops with business, technical stakeholders, and third parties to capture and document current-state architecture, define the target future-state architecture, and identify key transition architectures
- Build and maintained strong relationships and oversight of strategic cloud and infrastructure partners/suppliers
- Leading the review of configuration data, capacity data, systems performance data, architectural drawings, and physical as built documentation during the project phase to ensure that the solution aligns with the agreed design
- Prepare, socializing and present architecture and design documents, briefs, and reports to ensure compliance with delivery governance processes and provide oversight of products
- Leading the development of the Disaster Recover Plans (DRP) and DR schedules, test plans, procedures and information in line with defined processes and TZV’s BCP
About You
The successful candidate will have extensive experience with technology infrastructure and applications architecture, high availability systems resilience and disaster recover architecture.
Have direct hands-on experience in leading the design, development and deployment of business and will hold a tertiary qualification in IT , engineering or a related discipline and the following skills & attributes :
- Extensive experience with Cloud technologies, specifically Azure and / or AWS.
- Extensive experience with other Infrastructure technologies, including server, virtualisation, networking, backup and storage technologies
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements and frameworks
- Strong capacity to understand business needs and translate identified needs into software and technology designs
- Experience with and knowledge of security technical protocols, policies, and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
