Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

An exciting and rare opportunity presents for a suitably qualified and experienced leader to join Triple Zero Victoria’s (TZV) Emergency Communications Information Systems team in the position of Director, Technology Operations and Sustainment. The Director, Technology Operations and Sustainment is a key leadership position within TZV’s executive team delivering reform across TZV and the Emergency Management Sector.

 

As the Director, Technology Operations and Sustainment, day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading the design, implementation and maintenance of ICT operational services, including telephony, infrastructure, application, desktop and incident response
  • Managing the delivery of core application software CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) delivering geospatial, data and test services
  • Leading people and technology through transformational change and implementation of new and enhanced technologies
  • Ensuring effective governances of third party services through the management of service accountabilities and performance standards.

 

 

 

About You

 

You will be an experienced leader, with extensive and relevant ICT management experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex mission critical 24/7 environment. Well-grounded in technology, you will have a strong and practical understanding of finance, business management, people leadership, customer management and stakeholder engagement. It is expected that the Director, Technology Operations & Sustainment will possess highly developed analytical skills and the ability to be a forward-thinking leader. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in the application of continuous quality improvement programs that optimise technical and non-technical service delivery functions and deliver productivity and service improvements. Additionally, you will have a depth of experience in IT Service Management (ITIL V3) and a tertiary qualification in Project Management (PRINCE2, PMBOK) will be highly regarded.
