About the Role

The Data Modeller Analyst is a key subject matter leader in modelling and reports to the Data Management Lead.  
 
The goal of the function is to deliver the TZV transformation program data outcomes in accordance with the agreed scope, budget, timeframe and quality. The incumbent should be an experienced technical leader, data program delivery expert, and be familiar with the Department of Treasury’s High Value High Risk framework. The role will be expected to leverage TZV’s Project Management Framework to achieve project and program objectives. 
 
The purpose of the role is to deliver the TZV transformation program data program as per the ICT Strategy and funded Technology Roadmap. 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

• Deliver data modelling to the Next Generation Transformation Program (NGC) and the Enterprise System Integration Program (ESIP), ensuring accuracy, utility and repeatability of Next Generation CAD data and data exchange with TZV and Emergency Service Agency systems
• Contribute to the design, planning and establishment of the TZV Data Modelling initiatives, including supporting the Data Architect and developing the Data Glossary and Data Dictionary, Data Catalogue tooling, Conceptual/Logical/Physical Data modelling, and Data Profiling and harvesting.  
• Develop the data modelling function and provide expert advice on the Conceptual, Logical, Physical data models.
• Engage with any vendors’ data modelling resources to guide the development of the data catalogue. and the data profiling, and data harvesting for the Program.
• Contribute to the identification and selection of a Data Cataloguing tool and assist in the establishment of the software with relation to data modelling.

 

About You

As the Data Modeller Analyst, you will ideally have experience in Data Architecture and Data Modelling initiatives as part of a data capability uplift. 

 

• Experience in establishing a data modelling standard, tools, and best practice, for the purpose of designing, documenting, and maintaining data models
• Experience in developing conceptual and logical data models, and the data cataloguing process, including data profiling and harvesting, through the use of industry standard tools.
• Ability to technically engage and challenge vendors within the data modelling, data architecture, data management practices.
• Engaging in data management initiatives in large scale strategic programs of work delivering technology enabled business transition. 
• Experience in large data migration programs of work, including Data Cleansing, Data Anonymisation, Data Archiving, and Data Decommissioning.
