Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Data Group Lead is a key and active participant of the Emergency Information Communications Services (ECIS) team. The goal of the function is to ensure that information flows timely and securely to and from the organisation as well as within. 

 

The main purpose of the role is to ensure all Emergency Services Organisations (ESO) and related Government Agency Data (including spatial) set requirements are processed, loaded, and maintained in TZV’s Oracle and SQL database environments.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  •  Lead data operations at TZV as the primary Subject Matter Expert and strategic liaison for inter-agency data activities.
  •  Partner with stakeholders to define requirements and manage the seamless integration of external data into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
  •  Optimise data integrity by driving automation initiatives and ensuring all datasets remain current, accurate, and reliable.
  •  Execute data processing tasks strictly aligned with established governance procedures and defined service level agreements (SLAs)
  •  Standardise data supply chains by developing technical specifications and communicating updates to Emergency Service Organisations (ESOs) and partners.

 

 

About You

 

The successful applicant must have experience managing incidents and changes and the ability to solve technical problems to ensure improved system security, availability, and performance. 

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  •  A Diploma/Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline (essential)
  •  ITIL V3 Certificate (desirable)
  •  Extensive/Demonstrable knowledge and experience in SQL Server Scripting and Oracle
  •  Extensive/Demonstrable knowledge and experience using GIS related software (ESRI software suite)
  •  Demonstrable experience with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
