Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

The Data Assurance and Reporting Lead is a key and active participant of the Governance, Planning and Intelligence (GP&I) and a critical enabler of the Intelligence Team—translating complex operational data into clear, timely and actionable executive insights. The role delivers validated, high-quality analysis and operational reporting that supports evidence-based decision-making across Triple Zero Victoria.

 The main purpose of the role is to maintain and continuously improve data quality frameworks, produces and validates operational reports and performance dashboards. This role and supports the integration and reconciliation of data from multiple sources to deliver trusted, actionable intelligence. It also drives standardisation through clear definitions, business rules and metadata, and supports efficient dissemination via agreed channels, ensuring reliable, repeatable reporting aligned to organizational priorities

 

 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Conduct data profiling and exploratory analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, trends and patterns that improve reporting accuracy and support evidence-based operational decisions
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of reporting standards, data dictionaries, metadata and procedural guides that support consistent and repeatable analytical processes
  • Coordinate the intake, reconciliation and cross-system validation of data from TZV operational systems, Data Science outputs and sector partners to ensure source integrity, traceability and fitness for use in operational and executive reporting
  • Lead GP&I enterprise data standards and quality thresholds and ensure adherence through oversight and review. Maintain clear data lineage and documentation to guarantee that intelligence reporting outputs are trustworthy, repeatable and compliant
  • Develop, maintain and deliver operational reports, dashboards and performance summaries—including EMC, IGEM, RSV and other regulatory or internal reporting—that meet organisational and stakeholder requirements

 

About You

 

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Information or related field, have experience in data analysis and quality assurance, or operational reporting within a structured organisational environment.

 

 

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured analytical techniques to operational data
  • Proficiency in SQL for data exploration, profiling, transformation, and validation
  • Strong experience with Power BI (or equivalent BI tools) for report development, dashboard design, and data visualisation
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational reports and performance dashboards to meet regulatory, compliance, or internal stakeholder requirements
  • Practical understanding of data integration techniques, including sourcing, cleansing, and transforming data quality and reporting accuracy
  • Able to engage and collaborate with a wide range of operational and strategic stakeholders
