Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Data Management Lead, the Data Architect will contribute to the delivery of the TZV transformation program data program as per the Next Generation CAD Project, ICT Strategy and funded Technology Roadmap. You will leverage your skills within technical leadership, while drawing on your expertise in data program delivery, utilising TZV’s Project Management Framework to achieve project and program objectives.

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Act as the TZV and emergency sector lead for all data architecture, data analytics and reporting design activities. 
  • Ensure the uplift of data management at TZV to provide the Next Generation Transformation Program (NGC) and the Enterprise System Integration Program (ESIP) with the necessary data management capabilities to deliver the broader program.
  • Contribute to the design, planning and establishment of the TZV Data Management initiatives, including leading the development of the Data Architecture, Data Glossary and Data Dictionary, Data Catalogue tooling, Conceptual/Logical/Physical Data modelling, and Data Profiling and Analysis.  
  • Lead and guide the update of the Data, Business, and Technology architecture as it relates to Data Management in order to meet future TZV and Emergency Sector needs.
  • Engage with data management vendors to explore, challenge, and test the reference Data Architecture, and the Data Architecture roadmap.

 

This role is available on a 2 year fixed-term basis. 

 

About You

 

The ideal candidate will hold deep knowledge in large data migration programs of work, including Data Cleansing, Data Anonymisation, Data Archiving, and Data Decommissioning, coupled with the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Experience in Data Architecture initiatives including broader Business and Technology Architecture components and developing a strategic outlook as part of a data capability roadmap.
  • Experience in data cataloguing tools, developing conceptual and logical data models, and the data cataloguing process, including data profiling and harvesting.
  • Ability to technically engage and challenge vendors within the data architecture, data management, and data governance components.
  • Strategic and operational approaches to Data Migration Plans and delivery activities.
  • Deep knowledge in large data migration programs of work, including Data Cleansing, Data Anonymisation, Data Archiving, and Data Decommissioning.
  • Knowledge of the implementation and transition management of large mission critical data and information improvement outcomes within a government organisation.
