Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Configuration & Asset Management Analyst, a key role within the Service Management team, is responsible for maintaining accurate and reliable configuration, asset and service mapping data that supports effective decision-making, service delivery and risk management across TZV.
Reporting into the Manager, Service Management, the role will maintain a trusted CMDB, Asset Register and Service Map; and will ensure that new services and infrastructure are onboarded correctly, assets and services are tracked through their lifecycle and data integrity is preserved to support both operational and strategic initiatives.
The position will execute day-to-day activities that sustain CMDB integrity, reporting, service mapping and integration with IT Service Management whilst ensuring that configuration item, assets and service data is effectively managed, accurate and accessible to support all relevant decision-making.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Maintain the configuration management framework, monitor compliance and enable accountability across Emergency Communication Information Services and TZV whilst acting as the steward of CMDB and asset management outcomes.
- Maintain and improve CMDB integrity by verifying and updating Configuration Item records, relationships and lifecycle status in line with approved policies and procedures
- Implement and maintain Service Mapping for critical infrastructure and business services whilst ensuring accuracy of service-to-infrastructure relationships and maintaining alignment with the Common Service Data Model.
- Optimise ServiceNow Discovery and data integrations to improve configuration visibility and automated CMDB population.
- Support effective asset management by maintaining alignment between the CMDB and Asset Management module, ensure lifecycle accuracy from procurement to disposal and ensure compliance with the Asset Management Accountability Framework and any other relevant frameworks and/or standards.
- Design and deliver CMDB and asset management reports and dashboards that track data quality metrics, asset health and other relevant insights.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance CMDB processes, data quality and automation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a solutions-focused analytical thinker with significant experience in Information Technology. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong professional relationships within a complex and highly critical work environment.
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve CMDB health and implement Service Mapping and discovery integrations across hybrid environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ServiceNow and a proven ability to design, build and deliver ServiceNow dashboards and reports that support governance, performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across ICT and business areas, guiding service and asset owners to strengthen compliance with configuration, asset and governance frameworks.
- A track record of continuous improvement in configuration and asset management processes and a clear commitment to data quality, accuracy and integrity
