About the Role
As a Business Analyst within Next Generation CAD Cardinal Project team, you will be playing a key role in shaping the future state processes of the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Operations.
The goal of the function is to provide business analysis support to the NGC Cardinal Projects as directed by the Cardinal Program Manager and other Project Managers.
The role is centred on improving frontline operational workflows, service delivery processes, and business efficiency outcomes rather than purely technical system analysis. You will work closely with operational stakeholders to understand how the service currently functions and help design practical future-state improvements.
The main purpose of the role is to gain a deep understanding of the current state process and help the business define efficient target state process and identify targeted technology changes to and process improvement opportunities to ensure operational efficiency.
This role requires a good understanding of operating model changes and transformation withing large organisations.
The Business Analyst role will leverage strong stakeholder engagement skills to conduct key business and digital transformation activities with a focus on current sate process analysis, problem statement definition, opportunity identification and assessment, target state business process definition and requirements gathering.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Providing key information by completing impact analysis for Business, Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS) and Emergency Communications Services (ECS), documenting ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business processes and gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Assisting with solving complex technical and business issues to resolution.
- Designing, leading and facilitating workshops as required.
- Assisting with the development of a quality management plan with the provision of quality targets and assessment.
- Assisting the Project Manager with identification of risks, issues and dependencies and helping to track these accordingly.
- Working productively with other areas of the organisation to support and inform the development of corporate planning activities, testing strategies and the development of end user training materials
This is an operationally focused BA role, suited to someone who can bridge frontline business needs with practical process and system improvements.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Extensive/demonstrable experience in application of business process improvement, business analysis and business requirements gathering.
- Extensive experience in data analysis and testing management, including techniques, methodologies, tools and best practice.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence others to obtain support and work toward a common goal.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to to work collaboratively at all levels of the organisation.
- A flexible, adaptable and resilient approach, with the ability to preserve in ambiguous situations and deal with stakeholders with conflicting views.
