Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Business Analyst is a key and active participant of the NGC Cardinal Project team.
The goal of the function is to provide business analysis support to the NGC Cardinal Projects as directed by the Cardinal Program Manager and other Project Managers
The main purpose of the role is to build/plan/develop/provide key information, specifically in the areas of Business impact assessment, current state mapping and requirements gathering, to enable the role to map ‘to be’ business processes, assist in the collation of business rules, data modelling and provide quality inputs which will inform the business case.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Providing key information by completing impact analysis for Business, Emergency Communications Information Services (ECIS and Emergency Communications Services (ECS), documenting ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ business processes and gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Assisting with solving complex technical and business issues to resolution.
- Designing, leading and facilitating workshops as required.
- Assisting with the development of a quality management plan with the provision of quality targets and assessment.
- Assisting the Project Manager with identification of risks, issues and dependencies and helping to track these accordingly
- Working productively with other areas of the organisation to support and inform the development of corporate planning activities, testing strategies and the development of end user training materials.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A Diploma/Tertiary qualification in IT, Administration or Business Management or related discipline and/or substantial experience in project or business management
- Extensive experience in business process improvement, business analysis and business requirements gathering.
- Extensive experience in data analysis and testing management, including techniques, methodologies, tools and best practice.
- Demonstrated ability and understanding in negotiation and stakeholder engagement and ability to influence others to obtain support and work toward a common goal.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach and ability to work collaboratively at all levels of the organisation.
- A flexible, adaptable and resilient approach, with the ability to preserve in ambiguous situations and deal with stakeholders with conflicting views.
