Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) provides the critical link between the Victorian community and the state’s emergency services agencies. It provides Victoria’s 24-hour emergency call-taking and dispatch services for Police, Fire, Ambulance and VICSES.

About the Role
The Advisor, Injury Management & Workcover is a key and active participant of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team, whose goal is to provide expert advice and support to the whole organisation on health, safety, wellbeing, early intervention and workers compensation matters. It is a pivotal role, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of workers’ compensation claims and injury management cases.
This position requires extensive experience in workers compensation, injury management, and claims administration, as well as in identifying and implementing strategies for effective case resolution.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Manage, administer and process claims on behalf of our people, ensuring their best interests are maintained.
- Review incident and injury reports and initiate early contact with our people and their managers to support early intervention and recovery.
- Provide regular input into the payroll report to ensure Workcover pays and adjustments are accurate for injured employees, and contribute to related process improvements in collaboration with the Payroll and Workforce Management teams.
- Maintain and regularly update case files, injury management plans, invoices, and related documents.
- Provide expert advice on RTW approaches, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and support with driving the RTW strategy on complex claims.
- Act as the first point of contact for all Workcover claims.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of workers compensation governance, legislative requirements, and a customer-focused approach to managing and resolving claims effectively
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in workers compensation, technical or senior case management roles.
- Demonstrated experience within a claims management role, providing professional and customer focused end-to-end claims service.
- Sound understanding of the financial implications of claims management and Workcover premiums and demonstrated experience in Workers Compensation pays.
- Team player with a can-do attitude that builds confidence and trust in the management of early intervention, injury management, return to work and Workcover processes.
- Practical working knowledge of the Victorian workers’ compensation framework, processes, legislation and industry standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders within a complex and critical work environment.
