About the Role

The Accounts Officer  is a key and active participant of the Financial & Project Accounting team. 

 

Reporting to the Financial & Accounting Lead the role is responsible for delivering financial and administrative support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders of TZV.

The main purpose of the role is to provide support for Finance delivering TZV accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in a timely manner through the provision of excellent customer service while complying with organisational policies and procedures.
 

 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable and banking duties including answering daily stakeholder queries.
  • Accountable for the accurate processing of invoices and preparation of monthly accrual journals that correctly capture incurred costs.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial reconciliation, summary reporting and analysis as required.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of accurate master file data and records in TZV’s financial systems.

 

 

 

About You

The preferred candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and experience in an  accounts payable/ receivable role in a medium to large business and possess the following skills and attributes:

 

 

  • Diploma/Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • An aptitude for problem solving in the context of accounting and financial compliance.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines.
