About the Role

 

The Automation Test Analyst is a key and active participant of the Next Generation CAD (NGC) Testing Team. 

The goal of the function is to provide acceptance of system and associated business process changes on behalf of TZV operational and corporate users based on a validation of the requirements provided.

 

The main purpose of the role is to support and maintain the NGC test automation framework while collaborating with other NGC automation testers to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices. The role also involves providing strategic advice to the ECIS team and NGC project stakeholders, contributing to the development of automated testing approaches that maximize benefits and test coverage while minimizing maintenance and support requirements. 

Reporting to the Senior Automation Test Analyst, specific accountabilities will include supporting the development and maintenance of the NGC test automation framework, contributing to automation planning and assessments, and executing and reporting on automation testing activities.


As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other TZV sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work reasonable overtime. 

 

Day to day responsibilities include:

•    Collaborate with the Senior Automation Test Analyst to design, implement, and enhance the NGC test automation framework
•    Create and maintain high-quality automated test scripts for NGC functionalities
•    Work closely with NGC developers, testers, and stakeholders to understand testing needs and contribute to seamless integration of automated tests into the agile workflow
•    Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance the framework’s performance, ensuring compatibility with tools, environments, and evolving NGC requirements
•    Run automated test suites as directed, analyse results, and report defects, ensuring accurate tracking and resolution of issues
 

 

 

About You

 

The preferred candidate will have a tertiary qualification in IT, or a related discipline, as well as the following skills and experience - 

•    Experience working in test automation
•    Proficient in Java and Python programming languages 
•    Experience in test environment management 
•    Demonstrated knowledge of behaviour driven development frameworks 
•    Experience in Object Orientated programming 
•    Knowledge of service level and UI test automation tools
